Welcome party for exchange students from Taiwan

In the afternoon of November 16th, a welcome party for Taiwan exchange students was held in Room 2-208. The secretary of the Party branch Zheng Cailian, Liu Kailian, and the monitor of the 2013 class Gong Junjiao attended the welcome ceremony. The reception was hosted by the monitor Tu Lulu.

Lai Jianqiao and Qian Yanci from Fo Guang University in Taiwan gave a brief self introduction and shared their learning and life experience during their more than two months stay in Wenzhou University. They talked about the differences of campus culture, domains of life, management system between the universities in Taiwan and the mainland. They expressed their thankfulness to the academy resources, perfect and comfortable learning and living environment, as well asl the help and support provided by the class and the school during their stay.

The class monitor Jun Jiao Gong shared her good impression towards Taiwan culture and Taiwan scholar. She encouraged the students take full advantage of the exchange opportunity and achieve all-round development.

The Deputy Secretary Liu Kailian hoped the exchanged students have active communication with teachers and students and fit into the new learning environment as soon as possible. He also encouraged both the current students and new students had mutual aid, friendly communication and mutual understanding in School of Business. He hoped that the exchange students may learn the professional knowledge and feel the campus culture in our school during their stay, and play a good foundation for the future development.

Secretary Zheng Cailian expressed warm welcome to the exchange students and asked in detail about problems the students encounted in learning life. At the same time, combined the recent and first meeting of the two leaders of the two sides after 66 years, she talked about the commitment of the School to establish international education, and put Taiwan exchanges and cooperation in a very important position. She hoped the students could make contributions to the cooperation between schools, actively participate in the class activities, communicate with each other, learn from each other, and make common progress.

Finally, Secretary Zheng gave two two sets of books to the exchange students as presents. She encouraged the two students continuely make contribution to cross-strait peace and development after their return to Taiwan. The aim of the welcome party was to help exchange students quickly adapt to the new environment, find a sense of collective belonging, so as to better integrate into the study and life in Wenzhou University.
